Vern Yap

I'm a personal trainer, and the owner/founder of Facility 0-3.

I have been in health and fitness since 2015, and I always aim to help my clients make a sustainable change in their lifestyle through fitness and nutrition.

I’ve been through many phases on my fitness journey. From being quite overweight to being fanatically strict about my diet, to taking a more relaxed and sustainable approach to exercise, I’ve done them all.

I became a PT because I’ve felt for myself how life improves when you become fitter. You get to enjoy what you eat mindfully, and you increase your sense of confidence.

 

OFFERINGS

I offer coaching for lifting techniques and muscle awareness drills for beginners looking to increase their strength and muscle definition at the gym.

I find that the biggest help for people with those goals is knowing which muscle they should be aware of during a particular movement.

SPECIALTY

I specialize in weight training, muscle building, fitness & conditioning training, and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts.

I love helping beginners to intermediate lifters, and giving you the knowledge necessary to seek more advanced training if you wish to. This led to the naming of my business as Facility 0-3, as I believe I can help most people get from 0 plates to 3 plates a side for the major compound lifts. 

CERTIFICATIONS

Vern is a certified fitness trainer by the Australian Institute of Fitness Trainers.

He has worked as a personal trainer in Anytime Fitness in Australia and Pure Fitness in Singapore for the past 7 years.
